Introduction

At TrackTunes, I respect your privacy and am committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how TrackTunes collects, uses, and protects your information when you visit this website and tells you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

This privacy policy aims to give you information on how TrackTunes collects and processes your data through your use of this website, including any data you may provide when you sign up for the service, connect your Strava and Spotify accounts, or use the features.

What TrackTunes Collects

TrackTunes processes the following data to provide the service:

Basic profile & activity data from Strava
Listening history from Spotify, limited to the timeframes of your activities
Email address, used to link accounts and contact you with important updates

How TrackTunes Uses Your Data

TrackTunes will never sell your data, and your Strava and Spotify data is never used for advertising. Your data is used for the following purposes:

To provide the core service of matching your Spotify listening history with your Strava activities

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely in the TrackTunes database. Appropriate security measures are implemented to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used, or accessed in an unauthorized way.

Your data is retained only as long as necessary to provide the service. You may request to view, update, or delete your data at any time. To make such a request, simply email support@tracktunes.app, and I'll process it promptly.

Third-Party Services

TrackTunes integrates with Strava and Spotify APIs. When you connect these services, you are also subject to their respective privacy policies:

Strava Privacy Policy

Spotify Privacy Policy

Feature requests are hosted on a public board provided by Featurebase. Anything you post there is publicly visible, including the name you post under. Bug reports sent through the feedback form are emailed privately to me instead, and are never posted to that board.

Featurebase Privacy Policy

With your consent, I also use analytics services to improve the product:

Google Analytics: For understanding website traffic and usage patterns
PostHog: For product analytics and feature usage insights

With your consent, I use the Meta Pixel and Meta's Conversions API to measure whether my ads lead to signups. When you finish signing up, TrackTunes tells Meta that a signup happened, along with browser information. No Strava activities, Spotify listening history, or email address are ever sent. You can opt out any time from the Cookie Policy page.

Apart from the services named above, TrackTunes does not share your data with any other third parties except as required by law.

Changes to This Policy

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. You will be notified of any changes by the new privacy policy being posted on this page and the "last updated" date being updated.

You are advised to review this privacy policy periodically for any changes.
